Letícia Lindenberg Lemos is a PhD student at the University of São Paulo, Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, who will be a visiting scholar at Eindhoven University’s Department of Technology, Innovation, and Society (TIS). She is working on her thesis about the development and implementation cycling policies in São Paulo, Brazil from the perspective of social-state interactions and these have reproduced and reinforce the socio-spatial segregation. She has trained in Sustainable Mobility in Developing Countries at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research. She is conducting research from a gendered perspective on sustainable mobility, focusing on active modes, in particular urban cycling, and how these have been shaped by rules, regulations, and policies.
